• QWK Changes?

From Biggieb@HOBBYSPC to sysop on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 22:58:58
How difficult would it be if we wanted to remove and/or add subs, within active QWK networks, and how would the connected "nodes" alter their systems to reflect the changes?

Just thinking ahead if we need to changes things.

I would think that adding / removing message bases would be something
you only want to do every once in a while as this would become a
    maintenance pain point.
The last FTN I saw do this was fsxnet and this took some time to get distributed out to all the nodes properly.
The main issue is that you would have messages going into areas that may
or may not be on the system anymore.
If you are using a qwk client this is not an issue at all it just
becomes an issue when you are message to message base linking over
    multiple systems.

It's easy. I just add the sub, to the qwk network. Then make a new subs.txt file. Everyone would have to download the new subs.txt file, though.
