Hi Everyone,
Ive had mixed success getting old dos bbs doors to run under
linux/dosemu2 and ive had some people tell me i should just use Win32
and Synchronet. I cant findany documentation on how to do that.
Can anyone provide a link to some docco that describes how to get them working under win32.. for example LORD ? What are people using for dos emulation.. dosbox or ????

Why would you do that when it works perfectly well. I have probably
100+ DOS doors all running under linux with no problem.

You probably didn't look very hard then.
Nightfox did a lot of work on it and I did more and wrapped it into a nice little drop in bundle. I recommend using Ubuntu since DosEMU2 is kept up to date but it might work with others.
https://www.endofthelinebbs.com/dosemu2.tar.gz
and there's a dosemu2.txt with more information. This has helped a number of people who can follow basic directions. Those it defeated did something wron :)
I was just having problems getting one game in particular to work - Esterian Conquest and wanted to try Win32, and asked a few people how to do it. I did end up getting it to work under Ubuntu/dosemu2 with i think the same drop in bundle that you mentioned. Its all working well now under linux, but just for my own education, i posted about how to do it under win32. Ive gotten it to work on windows 10 - 32bit and ntvdm, but it seems a little buggy so i gave that effort up.Can anyone provide a link to some docco that describes how to get them working under win32.. for example LORD ? Hi, yes you did and your right.. it doesnt work under dosbox-x that
well. I just had a few sysops say to me that i should just use
win32, but they didnt go into detail about how that was implemented.
Im currently having the most success with Ubuntu 24.04 and dosemu2..
but was still trying to get it to work under windows. I have since
had limited success with windows 10 - 32 bit and ntvdm, but its a
little buggy so ill probably stick with linux/dosemu
