Tomorrow night, MeTV will feature the 1935 horror film "The Raven," which stars Bela Lugosi as a vain former neurosurgeon, and Boris Karloff as an escaped murder & assistant to Lugosi. The movie also stars Irene Ware as a young dancer and object of Lugosi's desire.

The name might be somewhat deceiving... sounds like the movie, while it makes reference to the Edgar Allen Poe work of the same name, is not actually based on Poe's poem.

A bit of trivia... nearly 30 years later (1963), Karloff would appear in another film of the same title, a gothic horror comedy that also starred Vincent Price and Peter Lorre.

I will be recording it. ;)
