    Description:
Backrooms fans have spotted some creepy new marketing for the anticipated new A24 horror movie.

    FULL STORY
Backrooms is one of the many new movies to look
forward to in May, and fans have stumbled across some excellent, but very creepy marketing out in the wild.

I'm a huge fan of how horror movies find ways to freak out their audiences long before they've even seen the movie. Recently I was impressed by Weapons
' viral marketing , which created a fake missing persons website to grab people's attention. Since Backrooms is essentially an alternate dimension that's similar to our own, they've really pushed the boat out and started freaking fans out by placing fake doorways in real-life liminal spaces, which an Instagram post described as "overlooked corners, alleyways, and blank architectural spaces".

If you spot any of these strange doorways, it's probably
best to avoid trying to walk through them as there's no guarantee you'll be able to return. Or maybe that's part of the appeal for fans who have long
been obsessed with the creepypasta lore?

It's very cool to see more creative marketing for original horror, and I'm keen to see if more of these pop up ahead of the movie's global release on
    May 29.

Backrooms had its premiere recently, and critics who saw it early have
been raving about it. The horror movie has been described as "wholly unique and original" and "the best creepypasta adaptation yet".

There's no denying the hype for this
movie has been off the charts. Kane Parsons is now A24's youngest director, soaring to new heights after the success of his viral YouTube series.

We still have a couple of weeks to go before fans can deliver their verdict, but so far it feels like a promising entry into A24's horror slate and I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
