Were only three episodes into Outlander prequel Blood of My Blood, but I cant help thinking about where the season will end. According to the cast, nobody actually knows.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

Outlander: Blood of my Blood has burst onto Starz and Amazon MGM+ with all
the vim and vigor of its predecessor Outlander , and weve only seen three out of 10 episodes. If you havent caught up yet, Blood of my Blood acts as a prequel to the main series, following Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamies
(Sam Heughan) parents, from World War I to the rugged Highlands of 18th
century Scotland. Theyre separate yet connected, in even more ways than were currently aware of.

As it stands, weve seen both pairs fall in love and l into their respective time travel journeys, but its Claires parents that Im the most interested in. Henry (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia (Hermione Corfield) have fallen in love
through a beautiful written correspondence before being brutally thrown back
in time. Theyve been split up from one another along the way, finding their
way back to each other while talking themselves into rewriting history in the process.

While Im enjoying the hunt for Outlander Easter eggs (and there are a lot of those), I just cant predict what were about to see in the next episode, let alone how the season will wrap up. But keeping one eye on the season 1 finale is exactly how my mind works, so I had to ask Irvine and Corfield about it
when I had the chance. So, imagine my surprise when they told me they also
have no idea whats coming, and frankly, the reason why is an incredibly smart move from the producers.

Out of four potential endings, we have no idea which
will air in the Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 finale

We get given our scripts while we're filming the block before, Corfield tells me, fresh from the set of Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 2. We're currently doing block one and two [of season 2], and we wont start to see scripts for block three until we're nearly done with block two, so you're constantly learning where your character is going as well. We actually have
    no clue whats really coming.

Irvine adds the punch: We filmed about four different endings for season one, so we still haven't seen which one they've gone for in the final edit. Its
the sort of thing RuPauls Drag Race would do to keep a seasons eventual
winner a secret, filming every queen sobbing on the runway with a crown a sceptre.

This means that outside of the editing room, absolutely nobody knows how
season 1 will end, and thats refreshing. Alongside my fellow press chums, Ive been lucky enough to have advanced Outlander: Blood of My Blood access, but that left us about four episodes short. In a time when were desperate to work out whats coming, have all information at our fingertips and uncover leaks
and spoilers before they hit the small screen, a move like this is now the
only foolproof way to keep us in suspense, providing the watercooler moment thats working so well for weekly releases. And for that, I tip my hat in respect to Starz.

Obviously, we can try to work out whats coming thanks to the seven existing seasons of Outlander , clearly having to directly intersect with Outlander: Blood of My Blood at some point (especially if Claire is as close in time to her parents as we think). But Irvine didnt realize the level of pressure that would come with that until season 1 started airing.

Not until we started doing press, he tells me about the comparison pressure.
We film it in this little bubble in Scotland, so it's very easy to forget
that anyone's ever going to watch it. Now that we're promoting it, and we're filming season two, I'm looking at my scripts for season two going Geez,
gotta make sure I do a good job of that, because of the fan base.

So, will there be any real clues to hang onto following the ending of Outlander: Blood of My Blood until were into the second season? Only time (travel) will tell.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood star reveals the best advice they got from the cast of the time-traveling show: I regret not asking more

    Description:
When a prequel like Outlander: Blood of My Blood comes around, it turns out
new cast members dont ask the legends about acting, but more important things.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

It goes without saying that the new Starz Original Outlander: Blood of My
Blood is directly linked to the period drama Outlander . The latter stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe as Jamie and Claire, a couple who fall in love after Claire accidentally travels back in time while on her honeymoon during World War II.

Outlander : Blood of My Blood follows a similar structure, but because its a prequel series, with their parents, with each couple also transported to the past of 18th century Scotland. Annoyingly, though, we still dont know how directly intertwined both shows are, with it logically possibly Claire could have met her parents without knowing.

When I think about Outlander: Blood of My Blood filming, I imagine two
separate casts getting together to share stories, swap worldbuilding tips and meticulously comb over the lifetime craft that is acting. But when I ask
stars Jeremy Irvine (Henry) and Hermione Corfield (Julia) what the best
advice they got from the Outlander cast was, nothing could have prepared me
for the answer. In short, my thespian visions couldnt be further from the truth.

Balfe confirmed that she has indeed spoken to them both, but almost none of their immediate conversations were actually about acting. While Im anxiously waiting to see how Outlander: Blood of My Blood unfolds, I do have a much clearer idea of what happens on location, including exactly how good the catering is.

It's so funny because you meet other actors, and you think that we would all talk about characters and stuff. We don't. We just wonder if catering is
good, Irvine tells me. How often do you run over each day? So mostly, when I saw Caitriona I was like, what's the food like? That's the sort of thing that you go and check up on. You don't really give each other advice., I mean, we could probably learn a lot from them. Maybe I should have done. I'm
    regretting it!

Thats not to say discussions were around food and food only (although if they were, Id hardly blame them). Playing the same characters through multiple timelines isnt the easiest thing to master, meaning the pair had to decide
how to approach Outlander: Blood of My Blood in its entirety (which is also streaming on MGM+ for those in the UK and Stan in Australia).

It's hard to play someone that time travels, because they constantly come out with challenges in the time period they find themselves in, and they have to have a level of agency, so they have to kind of know what they're doing, Corfield explains. But also, if you were actually transported back in time, you'd be completely terrified. Probably curl up in a ball and die, obviously
    we can't.

Irvine adds: We did talk about [the time traveling part of the show] a lot.
The main thing is they've just got to survive minute by minute. You know,
it's not really thinking about the bigger picture. You don't have time.
You're just going, right, how do I get through the next five minutes and survive to give me the best chance of getting back to that person that I've just lost? Really, it's more thinking like that, rather than having the time
to have this big existential crisis.

However these two arrived at this conclusion, the outcome is working. Outlander: Blood of My Blood is already making magic, and in the words of RuPaul, I cant wait to see how this turns out.
