When are these companies going to get it through their heads that PC <> Windows!!!
    A Mac is a PC
    A C64 is a PC
    An Amiga is a PC
    A Commodore PET/CBM is a PC

PC = Personal Computer and has NOTHING to do with it's Operating System!!!!

True but, in the software sense, "for PC" usually meant "IBM PC and compatible" and for a while now that has meant "Windows." So, "for PC and Mac" probably now means "Windows and Mac" but not Amiga or other legacy machines.

It bothers me more that they use PC but it isn't linux compatible, since linux is still as current as Windows or Mac.

Yep, That's what I run, NONE of my computers run Micrslop.

Even back in the day a lot of the IBM Compats ran other OS's like Xenix, Unix, CP/M, OS2, PC-DOS. Winblows just got way to full of themselves and bullied companies into packaging their computers with their software.

I only have one that does, and it is an old laptop I have had for about 30 years. It had linux on it, too, but I was not using it anymore and wanted a machine I could play Simcity games on, as well as a few DOS games that didn't run well on dosemu or DOSBOX-X. That laptop now runs Win98 SE and is not connected to the internet. ;)

For sure they ran a lot of OSes. In the BBS community in particular, DOS and OS/2 were real popular with sysops and users through the BBS "golden age." I still knew of a few that were running CP/M on their non-BBS machines sometime into at least the mid-1990s.

The majority of my systems (except for 2 (1 free bsd one ubuntu server) run windows due to software requirements.
