    Hi Dan,

    My TL-WA1201 has four operating modes:

    Access Point Mode (Current)
    In this mode, the access point transforms an existing wired network into a wireless one.

    Range Extender Mode
    In this mode, the access point boosts the existing wireless coverage in your home.

    Client Mode
    In this mode, the access point acts as a wireless adapter to connect your
    wired device (like smart TV or game console) to a wireless network.

    Multi-SSID Mode
    In this mode, the access point creates multiple wireless networks to provide different security types and VLAN groups.

    The "range extender" mode may be what you need to expand the WiFi coverage in your home.
