Have even rebuilt my Pascal development environment to start building some custom addons and utils, Have just modified a OneLinerUtil to manage them from the CLI, need to find the most current pascal structures for Mystic BBS.

Got you here loud and clear. What did you migrate from?

First off, thank you for the response.

I migrated from Synchronet, It seemed a bit overkill for my needs as I use Postfix/Dovecot for mail and Apache2 for web services.

Cool, not that I know anything about Mystic.

Still getting use to Mystic, but it reminds me of the old RemoteAccess experience from back in the day.

My weekend will be yardwork in between rain showers, and a BBS update myself.

I have some work around the house to do too, in between rebuilding a bunch of ANSI files and other bits of programming.

I migrated away from Windows/Dos in late 1998 with Redhat 5.1, and
I could never get DOS BBS systems to behave or work with telnet for me under any emulator.

I did try SBBS many years ago, though I installed Synchronet which ran
as a private system for friends and family but use dwindled and it sat doing next to nothing, an HDD failure around 15 years ago initially killed it, I had put a stock install of Synchronet on my PC, but until recently hadn't done much with it due to lack of time.

While putting quite a bit of time into getting Synchronet setup/reading the wiki to get the board back online. I stumbled across Mystic. Initially just downloaded it to have a look to see what else was out there, and finding it having a somewhat Remote Access feel I was drawn to it.

I'm finding Mystic's programming language (essentially Pascal) and the implementation of Python quite nice to allow customization.

I don't need HTTP/S or Mail Servers as I already run apache2 and Postfix/Dovecot, and from what I can tell Synchronet's mail server doesn't support DKIM signing, at least not that I could see.

So I figure building Mystic modules to interact with those services shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I have tried SBBS and it was the closest I ever got to leaving BBBS. Like you, I moved away from Windows a very long time ago, SuSE Linux one of the first editions. Then a Mac after a few years. Between Mac and Linux I don't see any chance of me going back to Windows. If I get a Laptop or PC with Windows, I wipe it. I have one Windows laptop simply for my weather forecasting software which needs windows.
