This is one of the drawbacks of mod'ing Sync is the Javascript. I managed to tweak my home page by adding plain HTML after the script but still trying to figure out the other areas. Also, I've seen some Sync boards that have a registration tab on their home page. I managed to make it visible but the form does not appear, I gave up after an hour to working with it.

I have the register tap working, be careful. Bots will attack your system by using the register tab.
Give me a bit, and I will come back and tell you the name of the file to mod.
I can't remember exactly which one it was.

Speaking of hackers. Is your system also constantly being probed and scanned? Just before I had 100 HTTPS connections from Facebook crawler going through my message bases scanning shit. I have a max of 100 connections set so no-one else could connect at that time over HTTP. SSH port is always being probed and never mind my SMTP server! It seems, most Synchronet BBS' web servers become pretty slow sometimes and maybe due to getting hit constantly with crawlers and such.

You can stop crawlers like Facebook with a robots.txt file. 99% of them respect it, but you still got bad ones like Bytedance's which ignore it and aggresively scan all the pages more than normal crawler should.

MY bbs is getting hammered by bots. That's why I wrote that script. For some reason it blocks your hostname address. Some kind of dynhapto hostname, I think..Well I cant remember the host name. Who do you have internet through?
