What is all this buzz, about Emacs? I don't even know what it is. I don't know if it's a text editor or something else? Then I seen post wars about Emacs vs. VIM.
    Can someone please enlighten me?

In the classic way of looking at things Emacs is an editor, but it can
do much much more than that.
It can be a complete os of its own if you really want it to be.
I don't know as much about it as I probably should, but it is on my long
list of things to really sit down and learn well to see what it is all
    about.

I thought it was an editor, but could do anything. I am sure some of the myths are exaggerated for sure hahaha.

I use vim a lot too. The reason I use nano is because it's faster. What's
the difference between vim and eMacs?

I had to install it and nimo. I like nimo better, it's straight forward and still has an extraction layer between the memory and what you type.
I know it's fucking hot over here. It was 95 today, and it was hotter in the house. Me and lotus hung out in the practice house. At least there is a window unit in there. I don't see why dude wont buy a few window units or something. He claims to have tons of money, so what gives?

So that site directed me to a book. What can this book teach me for 45 bucks, that I can't learn for free? No offense, but 45 bucks, could be used on more important resources. It seems to be a text editor, that can really speed up programming by using hot keys, to auto-type in syntax correct? It's amazing something 30 plus years old, is just as good if not better than new software lol.
