My buddy gave me an ssd today at work. The box advertises 16 tb. I got home and plugged it in, and it wasn't able to recognize the drive. So I dug in to figure out what the issue was. I went to terminal, typed sudo apt update, supdo apt install gparted. I opened up the device and tried
to make a partition and it gave me a major error. So I was like, I
wonder if I can just mount the real available space on there. Gparted wouldn't let me do it. Unfortunitly, the who drive is a brick. I got my hopes up, and got let down. I appreciate the free gift. He meant well,
but he didn't know anything about it. I didn't pay for it, so I guess,
I'm not at a loss.
Hey dude, I've got a buddy who did the exact same thing.
He got a 4 TB drive some type of ssd or flash.
It works in windows but not linux in any way.
It is also really slow. I would not trust my data to the thing.
