    i don't get it i am trying to research it, but nothing is really giving me an idea of what the issue is..i wonder how i can restore a backup that synchronet does every day

    I run a backup of my entire system (OS and all files) to an external 1TB drive every 4 hours using Acronis True Image. It provides file restoration or complete disaster recovery if the drive blows up.

    Not sure how to restore from Sync since I have my own backup. I do know it backs up some files like AREAS.BBS and SBBECHO stuff etc, but not sure about messages groups. I know there a folder SBBS\DATA called "SUBS" that has all the configurations in there. Thats is were I whacked ever file (1,800 of them) that said FidoNet to start all over. I do see a bunch of HobbySPC files in there which probably contains everything. There's 324 HobbySpc files on my system. Restoring the file might overwrite the message added since they were deleted though. Maybe a QWK packet download and upload to your system using your MorningStarr account on my BBS?

    I thought about doing that. I may try it when, I get my motivation back. Those messages whacked my motivation. :( I put a lot of thought in to those messages.

    Check my system. You will probably find some of your great posts you typed up. Just copy and repost on your system. Worth a shot.

    I was going to copy and paste them back..Such a shame, I hope this doesn't keep happening. I had my bbs running for like 23 days without a crash...When It crashed the messages vanished.
