You billionaire defenders always miss
the point and misdirect.
I'm not defending one thing or an other.
Nowhere in the US constitution does it say... We'll confiscate your assets and redistribute them to others that didn't earn it.
I am not jealous or envious of what other people have. In fact, if you can be like Trump, take a 2 million dollar loan from you father and become a Multi Billionaire then that is good.
Because, and this is simple, we are where we are today because of people with vision and the desire to succeed.
1) Billionaires and corporations do not
owe individuals anything. They DO owe
their governments and the society they
exist in a great deal, and they take
far more than they give.
You are wrong here, again. Corporations are answerable to their shareholders. Corporations need to come up with products and services that people want to use, whereas governments, have never been able to do this.
Recall flight... The government setup a comity to see if there was a possibility for man to fly... Welp, they spent MILLIONS and MILLIONS and was not successful.
In come 2 Brothers, last name Write, the figured out how to fly with all the money they had at the time... $2,500.00 YUP 2500 bucks and we are where we are today, with respect to flying, because of 2 private citizens with 2500 bucks.
Recall the fight(s) in the early 1900s with power and all that goes with it... Westinghouse and General Electric... Welp, we are where we are today because of the great people of the turn of the century fought to be a better place, NOT DEI'd themselves to a better future worked hard to discover products and services to sell.
Whereas a government has never advanced itself, or its constituents like Free enterprise, free markets and the ability to have the freedom to explore your options.
Think of Computers.. IBM/Apple... Whatever... OSes OS2/Windows/Linux ... All competing with each other and we benefit from this.
Why people want to come to the US is because of the potential they have when they get here.
Recall Elon, came to the US as a Student and now he's a close to being a Trillionaire.
Top 1% of earners in the US pay 90% of all the receipts... I think the rich pay enough.
Headline on Friday:
New York investment giant Apollo joins headquarters migration to " freedom" states.
Apollo is worth almost 1 trillion dollars in assets and they are moving to Florida.
No income tax.
No property taxes on your primary residence.
They claimed that the regulatory and tax burden of doing business in NY was burdensome and it was better to relocate.
You get the idea.
No one owes you anything.
Want something warm in your stomach learn how to give BJs... or get a job or invent something...
BTW, I think Elon was complaining about paying the most taxes by an individual in US history.., 2024 Elon paid ~10 Billion in personal taxes.
2) The argument people like me make is
that the idea that we should accept
that a corporation has no other
responsibility but profit for
themselves is untenable and
unacceptable. It's old thinking. These
corporations exist now at international
scale, larger than many national
governments. What they do affects
people the world over. The libertarian
saying goes that one has freedom until
you touch the tip of my nose. Well, the
corporations are touching our noses and
twisting them.
Corporations focus is on the products and services and bringing those products and services to the public at a reasonable price and for a profit.
Businesses that don't make a profit go out of business and as a result don't offer products and services.
Libertarian would say Government should be small and keep its nose out of the private sector.
3) Nothing those major corporations are
doing is helping you day to day life,
or where it seems to, a little deeper
digging always reveals the ways in
which they lobby againt you, Joe Schmoe
on the street. They take your data,
your privacy, your benefits, your time,
they lobby the government to reduce
your protections while also lobbying to
get the government to subsidize your
existence under their employ so that
they don't have to front it.
The light bulb, cars, airplanes, electricity, the Internet, boats and housing and finally Tacos.
Other than Slavery and getting people hooked on Welfare, there isn't too much the government has done to better humanity.
4) Basically, these people and
companies are already at war with you.
You should go to war with them.
Companies are not at5 war with us. They compete for our business. Having
more choices from several cell carriers gives us better services and better pricing. Having several banks to choose from does the same.
Companies love us, they employ us and the world a better place.
This doesn't need to be a leftist
issue. Teddy Roosevelt understood how
serious things were. Take a look at the
1912 Bull Moose policy platform. Beyond
the things we have now, are other
reforms that would check not only
companies but also government officials
who are too close to those companies.
Just Googled it, I am aware of Teddy, but this Bull Moose platform sounds like daddy Trump.
"New Nationalism" <---Trump strict corporate regulation, a protective tariff <--- OMG what is that??? tariffs to protect the American workers.
You might be more MAGA than you realize.
Look, if you want to be cuckold to the
Zuckerbergs of the world, I can't stop
you. But whether you enjoy watching or
not, they're still fucking the people
while you watch.
Good, I'm not cuckolding or anything... I just don't care what Mark has... its his not mine.
If I want something I'll work for it. And I hope that the worlds Billionaires work as hard as they have to make a better life for the residence.
If I see you on a street corner begging for money I'll toss a few coins in your bowl.
