    Hi All...

Compact discs (CDs) are making a comeback and finding a new generation of buyers and connoisseurs across Canada as teenagers and young adults turn to the once-declining format to find an affordable way to own music.

I operate a small retail shop, primarily books. But I get collections of CDs too. I *have* noticed an increase in people hunting for CDs too. Time to offload my own ancient collection of 2000+ CDs.

If shipping wasn't so expensive, I'd have you offload my 3000+ CDs too.

Surely there are systems in place in your home town/state where you can list your collection for sale?

It's not so much listing them, its cataloging them. It's a lot of
    typing!

CDDB doesn't work? iTunes pulls in data from cddb automatically.

Are you talking about putting a cd into the cd player in the computer and reading it via an program? I tried it, it's slower than typing by hand.

It takes less than 20sec for iTunes to pull the data per CD. Then export the data to .xml and parse it for the info you want.

Maybe other progs work faster. dbpoweramp is another one.

    What have you tried?

    https://clz.com/music/cd-catalog ..seems to be free.

I thought you were on a roll posting to discogs? They have a "seller" portal too.
