Title: Sardine Spread

1 Can sardines
2 tb Olive oil
1/2 c Butter; soft
8 oz Cream cheese; nippy
2 Eggs; hard cooked; sieved
2 Green onions; finely chopped
1/2 Lemon; juice of
Salt
Pepper
Paprika
A tasty canape spread popularly used in the old country. Rich and
well flavored.
Mash the sardines to a smooth paste. Add the remaining ingredients in
the order given, creaming well after each addition. Season to taste.
The mixture should be well blended and smooth. Set in a cool place to
chill. Spread on rye bread and garnish with a contrasting color.
